Continued Progress

When we arrived at the hospital this morning, both Henrik and Camille were out of their incubators and were in a regular crib together. Annika seems to be doing fine maintaining her body temperature and should join her brother and sister in another day or two.

All three took their first bottle feeding today. Annika took about 1/4 of a feeding through her bottle. Henrik and Camille each took an entire feeding on their own. Annika probably could have taken more, but the specialist said it is best not to push her too much this early. Each of them gained another 2-3 ounces since yesterday. Once they can take 8 bottle feedings on their own, they should be ready to come home. They are going to try a second bottle feeding tonight and will then work up from there. We still don't know exactly when they will come home, but they certainly are making great strides early on.

They got their Social Security cards in the mail today. It was neat seeing their full names with our address in official print from the Federal Government. Until now, the only official records with their names in print were from the hospital and read, "Congratulations on your new little Texan" on the top. I think it will take a bit of time until we're able to come to terms with the fact that we are now outnumbered by Native Texans!

We're still trying to figure out which ones look like their dad as an infant.....they have a while to catch up, since I was over 10 lbs at birth!

Hi: What wonderful pictures. I loved seeing Grandpa Lee with Henrick and Camille. It was great to see baby pictures of Grant. Right now it looks like all three have Grant's nose. I don't think Chantel cares who the babies look like as long as their healthy. I loved the picture of Mommy and her Burritos!
