We Have a Crawler

Camille is our first little crawler and the only one of the three who can sit up entirely on her own. We're interested to see if her siblings pick up some tips. They don't seem too far behind.

Another Day at the Beach

We had a nice time taking the kids on another hike and then down to the beach twice this weekend. They have become very interested in their surroundings and seem to really like all the excitement of being outside. Camille loves standing in the sand and even got her feet wet a couple times. We think she may skip crawling altogether and go straight to walking. She can sit up on her own and can stand as long as she's holding onto something. Annika still claps all the time and has been able to articulate the words, "nam, nam, nam" when she's hungry. Henrik still rolls everywhere and loves to eat.

No More Steriods

We took Camille to see an eye specialist and found out that her hemangioma has shrunk to the point that she no longer needs steriods. Her astigmatism is also minor enough that she won't need glasses anytime soon. She seems like she's ready to walk and can hold herself up against out ottoman. She's also getting a third tooth - this time on top.

Annika learned how to clap her hands this week and now always seems to be smiling while clapping her hands. She and Henrik seem to be getting along really well as she doesn't mind when he does his steam-roller right on top of her.

Henrik is still a very active little guy. He basically just rolls and rolls until he runs into something and can't go any farther. He decided recently that he's too old for naps and has been trying to make it through en entire day on a 10-minute nap. Despite his lack of sleep, he still is generally in a very good mood.

Single Track Adventure

We took the kids on their first mountain hike at the Temescal Gateway, not knowing that it was a single-track trail not exactly designed for our massive triple stroller. Nonetheless, Camille and Henrik enjoyed the whole ride; Annika liked it as well, but mainly the sections where we weren't going up massive steps or through a rocky river bed. I think we'll do a little more research before we go on our next hike!

We were very sad to have Grammy and Grandpa head back to Texas earlier this week. We hope they will come back very soon!
