We decided to take all three kids out for their first field trip to the back yard. Unfortunately, e've had so much rain that we had to put mosquito nets over their bouncy seats. Nonetheless, they enjoyed being outside and listening to Bob Marley for their first BBQ.

Doing Great
All three kids continue to do great. As we continue to increase their feedings, they have been throwing up a bit more often, but that is to be expected. We're still sticking to our schedule of feedings every 3 hours, but are looking forward to when we can stretch them to 4 hour intervals in a few weeks.

Gaining Weight
We had our first field trip to the pediatrician's office last Friday. The kids all did great and are all in good health. They have gained a lot of weight:
Camille: 5lb 10oz
Henrik: 6lb 3oz
Annika: 5lb 1oz
Here are some new pictures.

Some Critical Dates
So, Chantel and I put a couple critical dates on our calendar this week. The first is a quick get-away for Chantel and me to Central America in December and the second is our first family ski trip to the Alps....... in February 2011. I guess we'll let them get off their liquid diet before they decide if they'll ski or snowboard.
Nonetheless, everyone is doing great. All three are gaining weight and are becoming more and more alert. They all can now pick up their heads and are able to move around a bit in their cribs. They have their first appointment with their pediatrician on Friday, so it will be interesting to see their weights. It seems as if they are gaining a lot.

72 Hours.....
I just calculated that the triplets have been home for 3 days. In these three days, we've done 72 feedings and 72+ diaper changes. The math was pretty easy considering we do 8 feeds and 8 changes per day for 3 kids.... that is one per hour (there are 168 hours in a week).
We've been taking shifts through the night. So far, Sue has been taking the 10pm - 2am shift, my mom has been doing the 2am - 6am shift and then I've been taking the 6am to 9am. Last night, we ended up having two of us with them all night. Annika spit up pretty badly yesterday and turned red, then blue until Chantel and her mom were able to clear out her stomach and airway. Fortunately, they took the CPR class at the hospital the night the babies came home. Mom and I are doing it this week.
Here are some pictures of them in our house. They typically spend the night up in the nursery and then the day in the dining room. They had their first baths today. Camille liked hers, Henrik didn't mind his too much and Annika screamed and turned a shade of red that was darker than her color in the delivery room.

Finally Home
The triplets were finally released from the NICU last night. We were very glad that they kept Henrik and Camille and extra couple days so that all of them could come home together. We have them all in one crib in our nursery, but may have to start splitting them up because they keep hitting and kicking each other.
Our mothers took the night shift last night. We're trying to figure out a system to get all of them fed and changed with one person in an hour. We'll see......

Amost Home
All three babies continue to do well. Camille and Henrik are both on 8 bottle feeds per day and no longer have feeding tubes. Annika is on 6 bottle feeds per day and likely will lose hers tomorrow. I think we're getting pretty close to having them come home. The nurse today said that we should bring in the car seats and their going home clothes, so it should be pretty soon. The doctor said today that he may just keep them all until Annika is ready to come home. She seems as if she's only a couple days behind. Here are their weights:
Camille: 4lb 9oz
Henrik: 4lb 13oz
Annika: 4lb 1oz.
