All-Night Sleepers

For the first time last night, all three kids slept entirely through the night. We fed them at 8 pm and then didn't feed them again until 7 am. Our night nurse / sleep trainer seems to have worked herself out of a job after only a couple weeks.

Each of the babies talks a lot these days. They also seem to have found their hands, which they are always putting in their mouths...particularly during feedings. Camille is always smiling during her feedings, sometimes so much that you can't get her to take her bottle.

We took Henrik and Annika to the doctor yesterday as they both have a cough. They are doing fine and are taking some medication. Henrik now weighs 11 lbs 6 oz and Annika is 10 lbs. We think Camille is probably weighs about the same as Annika.

More Smiles

The babies have all been smiling a lot. Camille and Annika are starting to lose their hair. Henrik completely lost his, but now has been getting in some very light hair in its place. Camille hs become the biggest talker, but I'm sure the others aren't far behind. We also have switched Annika's formula a couple time and now think we may have found one that works.

Smiling Babies

The babies started smiling pretty often this week. Camille and Henrik smile the most often, but Annika also smiles from time to time. They finally are big enough to fit into our triplet stroller. It is the perfect fix for when they are fussy at night.

Out on the Town

We've been trying to get the kids out and about a little more often. Last night, we walked all three kids down to Snider Plaza and took them to a restaurant for their first time. It was a little hard to eat with so many people coming by and asking questions, but the kids did great for their first night out.

We have been taking them to the park almost every day. They are getting big enough now that I think we'll need to get them a double stroller. We've tried putting Annika in a stroller with one of the others with limited success, so Henrik and Camille generally end up riding together. They aren't quite big enough for their triple jogger stroller, but are getting close.

We were very sad to have Nana go back to LA earlier this week. It hasn't been the same without here here.

White Rock Adventure

Today we decided to go on a little field trip to White Rock Lake. We woke up early, packed some bottles and hit the trail in an effort to beat the heat. The babies clearly love the great outdoors... the perfect prescription for a quiet and peaceful morning. We may need to keep this in mind on fussy days!

New Baby Video Clips

Blogger just added a video upload function. Here are a few videos of the kids during their awake time following the 9 am feeding. As is often the case, this really was just Annika's awake time. There are also a couple videos of Henrik and Camille at the park near our house.

Happy Kids

The babies had their 2-month appointment on Monday and got all their shots. We were glad they got their immunizations, but Chantel and both grandmothers had a hard time listening to the babies screaming and crying. They have about doubled their weight since coming home a couple months ago. Here are their updated weights (their birth weights are in parenthesis)
- Camille: 8 lbs 3 oz (3 lbs 15 oz)
- Annika: 8 lbs 3 oz (3 lbs 10 oz)
- Henrik: 9 lbs 6 oz (4 lbs 3 oz)

We found out that the babies really settle down when we put them together. The girls didn't do great together, but Henrik does a good job of calming the girls down when they are relaxing in the same bed.

Chantel and I took them on their first trip around the block. We could tell that the enjoyed the change of scenery since they were looking around and listening to the insects.

Camille has another appointment with her pediatric ophthalmologist to assess the capillary hemangioma on her eye. Her doctor is keeping her on steroids and is having us put a patch on her good eye for an hour a day. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to bother her at all.
